DAVID KURTZ, Director, is a composer working for the last 27 years in Film and Television. He is the recipient of "The ASCAP AWARD for Most Performed Television Scores" a record 16 years. He also won two Emmy Awards and has numerous nominations. His concert music has received performances around the world and he has been a Composer-in Residence at the Music and Dance Festival in North Carolina, as well as a Charles Ives Foundation Grant recipient. His latest degree was a Masters in Music from Yale University. David currently sits on the Yale University Council for the School of Music.
Mr. Kurtz is most proud of his twin, boy-girl teenagers that attend Malibu Middle School. He has participated in many activities involving the children of the community, such as playing piano for the choirs and coaching his daughter's softball team. He is very proud to lend his vision and direction to Malibu Foundation.
