Leadership: Sally Phillips

Sally Phillips works with both large and small clients in all facets of employment law and human resources -- from legal and HR strategy to forming basic human resource policies and executive and leadership coaching.

Sally spent the majority of her career in the corporate world wearing numerous hats. Sally has managed legal departments and was the SVP of Human Resources for a company with over 135,000 employees. She also served as Chief Administrative Officer of this $2.5 billion dollar service company. After a short stint with Wolfgang Puck running business affairs (not cooking), Sally founded her own consulting business where she works with clients, large and small, to help them achieve excellence with their people through better legal and human resource practices. Sally also coaches executives focusing on leadership skills, transition issues, and performance improvement.

Sally has three teenagers who have progressed through the Malibu school system. Her daughter is a freshman at NYU and her sons are juniors at Malibu High School. Sally was on the steering committee of the recent Every 15 Minutes program, designed to instill in teenagers the potentially dangerous consequences of drinking alcohol. Sophomore, Junior and Senior students observed a simulated traffic "crash" staged in front of the high school, and on the second day, attended a "memorial" assembly recapping the "crash" events, including a short video and speakers. The intent of this very successful program was to make the unthinkable dreadfully real, as a tool to teach teenagers that they are not invulnerable.

Sally received her B.S. from NYU and her J.D. Cum Laude, from Georgetown University.
